July 2023: The Magic of Summer

“Everything good, everything magical happens between the months of June and August.”-Jenny Han

Once May hits, watch out, because summer is going to fly. As we wind down July and enter the finaal month, where did the time go? I’ll be honest, after 100-degree days and this humidity, the thought of crisp-cool temperatures and beautiful falling leaves sounds very tempting. But a part of me is always sad to say goodbye to summer because it always comes and goes in the blink of an eye.

July 4th – Where Everyone Can Be a Kid

“If you open your heart and become like a child, you will always be blissful, always content.” – Dharma Mittra

There are only a few holidays throughout the year where everyone wakes and makes their priority for the day celebrating how lucky we are to live in such an amazing country. The smell of charcoal and the joy of fireworks, plus a wide range of outdoor activities is where holiday memories are made and collective gratitude is give. A day where we can all take a moment to childlike and remind ourselves it’s not where we are but the friends that we’re surrounded with is what’s most important. It’s one of my favorites and this year was no exception.

“I could never in a hundred summers get tired of this.”

– Susan Branch

Make the Most of the Final Stretch

“August is like the Sunday of summer.”

-Anonymous

Rather than look ahead to the fall, let’s live it up this last month and try to take in as many outdoor activities as we can. Golf, lake-life, pools, sunshine, hikes, it’ll be over before you know it and we’ll all be hunkered down again for the winter. Thankful for an amazing summer thus far!
