December 2023: The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

“The joy of brightening other lives, bearing each others’ burdens, easing each other’s loads, and supplanting empty hearts and lives with generous gives becomes for us the magic of the holidays.”

-W.C. Jones

There’s no other time of the year that’s dedicated to spending time with family and friends like Christmas. The decorations and cheer, exchanging gifts, and catching up with the people you love is the most important focus and takes precedence over anything else. Setting aside daily stresses and routines, the holidays are a time to kick back and take a breath. Eat a little more, sleep a little later, the time is now. Don’t worry so much, you’ve done enough of that this year. We’ll the tackle the rest in 2 weeks. Holiday mode is here! We made it.

Consciously Reflect and Subconsciously Look Ahead

“Christmas gives us the opportunity to pause and reflect on the important things around us.”

-David Cameron

Time seems to move faster with each passing year and I like to imagine that we all continue to grow and improve. If you had a great year, what worked? I enjoyed waking up every day and no matter what challenges confronted me, embracing them and doing my best to stay positive and know that I would overcome them one way or another. It’s not always that easy but you get the drift. If you had a tough year, congrats you survived! Now in this state of reflection, there’s your accomplishment to be thankful for. Reflecting is way of seeing your experiences in a light different from when you were living through them in real time. They take on a new meaning and become significant or the opposite with the luxury of hindsight. Enjoy these next two weeks and take time to reflect on everything that happened this year and dream about where you see yourself next year. One of the greatest gifts is shifting into autopilot and letting life happen for you not to you.

See You In 2024!

“Cheers to a new year and another chance for us to get it right.”

 –Oprah Winfrey

2023 has been such a monumental year for me. I got married, bought a new home, turned my previous into an investment property, went on some fantastic trips, all largely in part to my amazing friends and clients who I was able to help with their real estate needs. My cup runneth over and I am so thankful for all of you who continue to read this newsletter. Happy Holidays and see you next year!
