November 2022: Daily Gratitude

“Give thanks not just on Thanksgiving Day but every day of your life. Appreciate and never take for granted all that you have.”

 —Catherine Pulsifer

Last week I took a course called the Ninja Installation for a second time, which is not just real estate focused but also examines habits that are helpful in living a meaningful and fulfilling life. At the core of the daily practices, they suggest keeping a gratitude journal and writing down 3 things that you are grateful for at the beginning of each day. I was so affected the first time I went through this program and credit it so much for my survival in real estate and how I try and approach every day. It was particularly nice to be reminded how far gratitude and kindness can take you. I’d even venture to say that if you throw persistence in there, you’re looking at the 3 ingredients that make up the secrets of life. You’re not just handed happiness no matter what circumstances you’re born into. Contentment must be worked for and earned on a daily basis and even then, it’s not without its obstacles. Survival makes us stronger and our mindset helps us to stay in the positive.

The Law of Authenticity

“The most valuable gift you have to offer is yourself.”

Does it get any more freeing? The best thing we can do for ourselves and others in our orbits is to try and be the best versions of ourselves. Kindness and daily habits that help you focus on what you can do for others and the things in your life that bring you joy will make you open to receiving the good fortune that is sure to come your way. Problem solve rather than dwell on areas that need improvement. As long as we’re doing our best in real time with what we have then the best thing to do is to keep moving forward.

Happy Thanksgiving!

“Be thankful for what you have; you’ll end up having more. If you concentrate on what you don’t have, you will never, ever have enough.”

Oprah Winfrey

Best holiday of the year! I’m so thankful to get to spend time with loved ones and enjoy amazing food and limited responsibilities. It’s the annual time where we’re reminded and encouraged to take a step back and be thankful for all the people in our lives who inspire and support us. There are plenty of things to be grateful for, you just have to acknowledge and write 3 of them down 5 times a week!

“Over and over I marvel at the blessings of my life: Each year has grown better than the last.”

Lawrence Welk
